Welcome to Meals With Baby – your destination for easy and realistic baby and toddler food ideas! My name is Wendy, and I’m a parent to two little ones, a toddler and a baby. I am thrilled to share my passion for creating nutritious and delicious meals for your little ones.

As a parent myself, I understand the challenges and joys that come with introducing solid foods to babies. The journey of nourishing tiny tummies is both exciting and filled with questions. That’s why I started this blog – to provide a resource and a community for parents who are seeking guidance and inspiration on every step of the baby food adventure.

My Experience with Starting Solids

When it came time for my first baby to start solids, I did so much research. I was committed to fostering a healthy relationship with food, exposing him to a wide variety of flavors and ingredients, while still juggling the responsibilities of day-to-day care.

I looked up nutritional profiles of different foods, learned the best way to prepare them in a baby-friendly way (hint: getting a steamer is super useful!), and spent hours and hours trying different recipes for my baby. I first created an Instagram page to share my creations, but as my following grew, I realized there was a real demand for more recipes and guides on ideas to feed babies and toddlers. And thus this website was born!

Throughout my baby’s journey into solids, we tried both purees and finger foods, and this blog will include recipes in both categories. I support parents who want to start with purees, parents who want to start straight with baby-led weaning, or parents who want to do a mix of both!

My Philosophy on Food

I believe that early exposure to a wide range of healthy foods sets the foundation for a lifetime of good eating habits.

I am love to use fresh, seasonal ingredients and provide recipes that are not only nutritious but also easy to prepare. I understand the time constraints and busy schedules that come with parenthood, so my recipes are designed to be simple, time-efficient, and budget-friendly. You’ll find step-by-step instructions, along with helpful tips for batch cooking, storing, and even packing meals for on-the-go.
