Baked Chicken Drumsticks for Babies
Not sure how to introduce meat to your baby? Chicken drumsticks were one of the first types of meat I tried with my own baby (along with ground meat in the form of meatballs). Here’s a super simple recipe for baked drumsticks in the oven that the whole family can enjoy, too!
How to Serve Chicken Drumsticks for Baby-Led Weaning
You can puree the meat, shred the meat, or serve it on the bone, depending on the age and skill level of your baby/toddler. I personally started with pureeing meat until my baby was a bit more adept at chewing. If you do serve the bone, make sure any sharp pieces, cartilage, and skin are removed.
Once your kid is older, this recipe can easily be adapted to just serve the chicken directly. I also use this recipe to make simple chicken drumsticks for the rest of the family too – just keep the skin on, add some salt & other seasonings, and enjoy!
